We are very proud of the variety of after-school and lunchtime clubs, which we provide throughout the year. We try to offer a range of clubs to suit all interests and abilities and whenever possible follow ideas and suggestions from the children.
Our clubs are organised by parents, staff and outside agencies. They have included music, recorder, cookery, board games, sewing , gardening, Zumba and astronomy club. A charge is made for some of these clubs, especially when they involve an outside provider.
We also organise a range of sporting activities, including football, tag rugby, PE, short tennis, rounders and athletics.
All children from Reception upwards are encouraged to take part and the emphasis is on fun, enjoyment and sportsmanship.
The children are taken on carefully planned educational visits to enhance classroom learning.
These are chosen to enhance and complement the classroom work. The visits may be individual class visits or whole school activities.
In addition, all Key Stage 2 children have the opportunity to spend three days at the Kingswood Activity Centre in Norfolk.
We also invite many specialist visitors to school to enhance learning and widen the curriculum. Our visitors may demonstrate their specialisms and hobbies or run workshops. These include theatre groups, musicians, artists and sports coaches.
